Ethos graphene coatings are guaranteed to protect. Register your vehicle to activate VIN-tied coverage, lock in your protection period, and start your maintenance program. Takes about two minutes.

VIN-RegisteredCoverage is tied to your vehicle — documented proof of professional-grade protection.
Transferable on PROSell the car, transfer the certificate. Registered protection adds resale value.
Maintenance ProgramCure guidance, seasonal reminders, and the annual check-in that keeps coverage valid.
Before you start: register within 30 days of installation, and enter the vehicle owner's email — that address is where your certificate, maintenance reminders and annual check-in are sent. Keep your proof of purchase; it is required for any claim.

Maintenance Requirements — read this before you register

Coverage is conditional on the vehicle being maintained to the specification below and on being able to show that it was. Most coating failures are maintenance failures, so these are the terms that actually keep your coating alive for its rated life.

Every 1–2 weeksWashHand wash with a pH-neutral, coating-safe shampoo — no wax, gloss enhancers, degreasers or abrasives. No automatic brush washes, ever.
Every 6 monthsDecontaminateTreat paint and wheels with a dedicated iron & fallout remover. Embedded brake dust corrodes in place and etches down through the coating.
Every 4–6 weeksTop UpApply a compatible SiO2 or graphene spray coating. Wax, silicone dressings and polymer sealants are not compatible over Ethos coatings.

Proof of maintenance is required at claim time. We formulate Cleanse, Iron & Fallout Remover and RESIST specifically to meet this specification and to be compatible with our coating chemistry. Ethos products purchased under your registration email are logged automatically — there is nothing for you to keep and nothing to produce later. If you prefer other products that meet the specification above, keep your receipts and the product's technical data; you will be asked for both if you file a claim.

Vehicle Information

Your warranty is registered to this VIN
17 characters. Find it on the driver's-side dashboard (visible through the windshield), the driver's door jamb sticker, your insurance card, or your vehicle registration. The letters I, O and Q are never used in a VIN.
That doesn't look like a valid VIN — it must be exactly 17 characters and cannot contain I, O or Q.

Confirm & Activate

Three acknowledgements and you're covered
I understand the coating continues to cure for several days after application, and that I should keep the vehicle dry for 24 hours, avoid washing for 7 days, and never run the vehicle through an automatic brush wash. *
I understand that keeping this warranty valid requires maintaining the coating to the published specification — a coating-safe pH-neutral wash every 1–2 weeks, iron & fallout decontamination every 6 months, and a compatible graphene/SiO2 top-up every 4–6 weeks — and that I must be able to document it at claim time. *
I have read and agree to the warranty terms, exclusions and maintenance requirements, and consent to receive warranty, maintenance and product emails from Ethos Car Care. *
Please confirm all three acknowledgements to activate your warranty.
Please complete every required field marked with an asterisk.

Warranty FAQ

Who registers — me or my installer?
You do. Unlike most coating brands, Ethos coverage is registered by the vehicle owner, so it never depends on whether a shop remembered to file paperwork. If a professional installed your coating, just enter their shop name in section 3.

What if I applied it myself?
You're still covered. Ethos coatings are sold to everyone and DIY installs register exactly the same way — select "Vehicle owner (DIY)" under Applied By.

Why do you need my VIN?
The VIN is what ties coverage to the vehicle rather than to a receipt. It's what makes PRO coverage transferable when you sell the car, and it's how we verify a claim years from now.

Do I have to use Ethos maintenance products?
You have to maintain the coating to our published specification, and you have to be able to prove you did. Cleanse, Iron & Fallout Remover and RESIST are formulated to that specification and verified compatible with our coating chemistry — and because your purchases are tied to your registration email, using them means your maintenance record keeps itself. If you use something else that meets the specification, keep your receipts and the product's technical data, because you'll need to produce both at claim time.

What actually counts as a coating-safe shampoo?
pH-neutral, with no wax, gloss enhancers, degreasers or abrasives. Dish soap strips protection. "Wash and wax" products deposit a film that masks your hydrophobics — owners think the coating failed when it's just buried.

Why is iron decontamination required?
Brake dust and industrial fallout embed as metallic particles that corrode in place and etch down through the coating from the surface. It's the most common cause of premature coating failure we see, it's invisible until it isn't, and twenty minutes twice a year prevents it.

What is the annual check-in?
Once a year we email you a two-minute check-in — a few photos of the paint and your current mileage. No shop visit, no fee. Completing it keeps VIN-registered coverage active and lets us catch maintenance problems before they become claims.

Is my warranty transferable?
VIN-registered PRO coverage transfers to a new owner with written notice to Ethos within 30 days of the sale, provided maintenance requirements have been met and documented. Most competitors' warranties die with the sale — ours doesn't.

What voids coverage?
Automatic brush washes, harsh or abrasive chemicals, polishing or compounding the coated surface, incompatible products applied over the coating, and neglecting — or being unable to document — the maintenance requirements. Full exclusions are on the warranty terms page.

How do I file a claim?
Email [email protected] within 30 days of noticing an issue, with your registration reference, photos, and maintenance history. Claims go directly to Ethos — not through a middleman installer.
