Smoother paint. Less work.
01Glass-smooth in minutes
A clay bar is the size of your palm. The towel covers a 12 × 12 in patch per pass, so a full car goes from rough to smooth in a fraction of the time.
02No more dropped-clay disasters
Drop a clay bar and it is ruined, grit and all. Drop the towel and you rinse it off and carry on.
03Reusable, not disposable
Rinse it after each panel and after the job. It outlasts traditional clay bars 4X, wash after wash.
04Protection that actually bonds
Wax, spray sealants and coatings bond to clean paint, not to contamination. Clay first and everything you put on after lasts longer.

FAQs
Quick answers from the Ethos team.
What does a clay towel remove?
Bonded contamination that washing leaves behind: rail dust, industrial fallout, tar, tree sap, overspray and brake dust. If paint feels rough through a plastic sandwich bag after washing, it needs clay.
Is a clay towel better than a clay bar?
For most people, yes. It covers more area per pass, gives you an even grip, and can be rinsed and reused, including after a drop. It also lasts about 4X longer than a traditional clay bar.
Do I need a clay lubricant?
Yes. Always use it on a clean, wet surface with plenty of lubrication. Detail Spray works as a clay lube, or you can use soapy wash water. Re-spray every 2 × 2 ft section.
Can it scratch or mar my paint?
Used dry or with heavy pressure, any clay can leave light marring. Keep the surface slick, use light pressure and straight lines, and rinse the towel often. A light polish afterward will remove any haze on soft paint.
Why is it leaving marks or residue?
Usually not enough lube or too much pressure. Re-spray the panel, lighten up, and wipe with a clean microfiber. Rinse the towel if it has loaded up with contamination.
How often should I clay?
Every 4 to 6 months for most daily drivers, and always before applying a wax, sealant or coating.
How do I clean and store it?
Rinse it thoroughly with water after use, let it air dry, and store it clean and dry.
What size is it?
12 × 12 in, a fine grade polymer clay face on a microfiber backing.
