The short answer
Graphene vs ceramic: you don’t have to pick.
- 1Ceramic (SiO2) is the glassy layer that bonds to paint and makes water bead.
- 2Graphene (reduced graphene oxide) is a carbon material blended into that resin.
- 3RESIST is both, in one spray: 20–30 minutes a car, no cure time, 12+ months of protection per application.

Slickest after five harsh chemicals
Pounds of pull to drag a sponge across each coated panel. Shorter bar = slicker surface.
The proof
Same panel. Five harsh chemicals. Eight coatings.
Project Farm coated test panels with eight popular coatings, then hit them with strip wash, iron remover, bug and tar remover, wheel cleaner and degreaser. After all five, his sponge needed just 2.3 lb of pull to cross RESIST. The $110 Gtechniq kit needed 2.5 lb. The $90 Gyeon took the overall verdict.
Project Farm, independent 8-coating test, published July 19, 2026. Video opens at the final sponge drag.
From RESIST owners
“Better than a $2000 ceramic professionally applied.”
“My vehicle looks better than it did after I had a $2000 ceramic professionally applied.”
“Had a ceramic coating put on a recently purchased Cadillac V-Sport by a professional coating business. It was not very hydrophobic… Water now just beads off like glass.”
“It only took 20 minutes to easily complete. I have used other ceramic spray products which were satisfactory but the graphene ceramic combination is far superior.”

20–30 minutes, two towels
How it goes on
- Wash and dry the car. Work in shade, on cool panels.
- Mist RESIST onto a folded microfiber, not straight onto the paint.
- Spread it over one panel. It flashes in 30–60 seconds.
- Buff with a second, dry towel. No cure time: drive it straight away.
Seeing haze? One owner’s fix: “spray it onto a microfiber cloth first, then wipe it onto the paint.”

Questions buyers ask first
Is graphene just marketing?
Plenty of graphene labels are. So skip the label and look at the measurement: after five harsh chemicals, Project Farm’s sponge needed 2.3 lb of pull to cross RESIST, the lowest of eight coatings and less than the $110 Gtechniq kit.
How long does one coat last?
Ethos rates RESIST at 12+ months of stand-alone protection per application. Most shelf ceramic sprays fade in 2–4 weeks.
Will it go over my existing ceramic coating?
Yes. RESIST works as stand-alone protection on uncoated paint or as a topper on an existing coating. You don’t strip a sound coating first.
It left haze or streaks. What went wrong?
Usually too much product sprayed straight onto the panel. Mist it onto a folded microfiber, spread one panel, then buff with a second, dry towel. A damp towel followed by a dry one clears stubborn haze.
Spray or bottled coating?
A bottled coating such as Graphene Matrix V2.0 is rated in years, but it asks for prep, careful flash timing and 48 hours kept dry. RESIST takes 20–30 minutes a car, with no cure time: drive it straight away.
Which size should I buy?
Three 16oz bottles are $59.95, less than two single bottles at $34.95 each and $44.90 less than three. One bottle is $34.95. The bottle with plush microfibers is $49.95 and the 128oz refill is $99.95 on the RESIST product page.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
Unopened bottles can be returned within 30 days.
Three bottles. $59.95. Slickest of 8 in Project Farm’s test.
20–30 minutes a car, no cure time, 12+ months a coat.
