Light contamination is the intended use. If the surface carries mud, sand, gravel, or other heavy debris, follow the product directions and rinse or hand wash it first.
Use product on the surface and towel
Spray DEFY evenly onto the area and into a microfiber cleaning cloth. Gently wipe the sprayed surface. Before it dries, use a clean, dry microfiber to buff off remaining haze.
Finish one area before moving on
Work around the vehicle one area at a time. Keep contaminated towel faces away from clean paint. Add clean towels to the routine when the soil load calls for them.

No. DEFY's directions exclude heavily soiled surfaces until they have been pre-rinsed or hand washed.
How do I avoid leaving haze?
Work one area at a time and switch to a clean, dry microfiber before the product dries. Buff away remaining haze rather than letting it dry on the panel.
